Moldy Cheese is a Default starting Item in Megabonk. When acquired, it provides a +40% chance to poison enemies on hit, dealing damage over time.
Strategy & Synergies
As a Default item, Moldy Cheese is the cornerstone of any poison-focused build. Its high chance to apply poison makes it consistently effective from the very start of a run.
- It synergizes extremely well with items that provide bonuses against poisoned enemies, such as the Gas Mask or Moldy Gloves.
- It provides a reliable source of passive damage, allowing the player to focus on evasion while enemies' health ticks down.
- If you get a couple early and want to make a poison build around them, focus on high attack rate weapons such as Black Hole, Tornado, Revolver, and Slutty Rocket.
- Cursed Doll will poison the enemies it curses, which is very effective against swarms.
