Boombox
Boombox is a cosmetic tool in Megabonk. It lets players change the background music before starting a run. This feature is cosmetic and does not affect gameplay or stats.
Overview
Boombox unlocks a music selection menu that appears before each run. After unlocking it, players can pick a preferred track or use the random option. The selected music stays active in future runs.
How to Unlock Boombox
- Found only in the Forest map.
- Players must find and activate all hidden boomboxes in the level.
- Interact with each one by pressing E.
- When all are activated, the Boombox item appears in the Shop for 5 Silver.
- Buying it unlocks the music selection feature permanently.
Tips
- Boomboxes show up as green circles on the minimap.
- Their locations change each run.
- Use the character Calcium with Agility Tomes to move faster.
- Play on Forest Tier 1 for easier searching.
Notes
- The Boombox is the only tool unlocked through exploration.
- It has no gameplay effects and is used only to change in-game music.
