Speed Boi
Speed Boi is a Legendary Item in Megabonk. It is a powerful clutch item that, when you take damage while below 50% HP, slows down time and makes you deal 2x damage for 10 seconds. This effect has a 17 second cooldown before it can trigger again.
Extra copies of this item extend the duration of the slow down by 2 seconds but increase the cooldown time by 1 second and do not increase the Damage multiplier.
How to Unlock
To unlock Speed Boi, the player must complete a stage with at least 2 Boss Curses active.
Strategy & Synergies
- Speed Boi is currently the only item that provides a Damage bonus that is multiplicative with ALL other Damage bonuses.
- Unlike the time stop effects of Za Warudo or the stopwatch powerup, the time slow of this item affects the stage & run timers. This causes them to decrease/increase much slower than normal during the effect.
- Kevin gives you a way to take damage without letting an enemy hit you. Damage from Kevin cannot kill you so this is the safest way to reliably trigger Speed Boi's effect as often as possible.
