Version 1.0.12 Patch Notes
Release Date: October 8, 2025 Title: Leaderboard Fix & Final Swarm Update
Overview
This update focuses on leaderboard security, late-game balance, and performance improvements. The patch introduces new Final Swarm mechanics, bug fixes related to crashes, and various weapon and tome balance adjustments.
TL;DR
- Leaderboards fixed and secured
- Final Swarm redesigned to prevent extremely long runs
- Fixed an issue where crashes or Alt+F4 could corrupt save files
- Weapon duration logic improved for consistent projectile behavior
- Several buffs and nerfs applied
Buffed
- Chaos Tome reward bonus increased by 50%
- Black Hole default size increased by 20%
- Bush – Marksman Passive cooldown scales better (−0.4 s every 10 levels, caps at 1 s at level 100)
- Dexecutioner, Axe, Sword projectile behavior improved under high duration
- Projectile weapons (general) more reliable firing and fewer dead projectiles
Nerfed
- XP Tome XP gain reduced 9% → 7%
- Black Hole proc coefficient reduced 0.9 → 0.7 to match Sword, Axe, Aura
- Joe’s Dagger max damage scaling capped at 200 per minute × number of daggers
- Rolly Bones enemies made slower to reduce Desert exploit potential
