How to Unlock
- Unlock requirement: Break 20 pots in a single run.
This is a skill-check on routing and map awareness; plan a path that passes through clustered pots without losing survival tempo.
Synergies
- Echo Shard: Enemies dropping extra XP pairs very well with having higher XP Gain.
- Luck Tome: Faster leveling allows you to build up Luck earlier which will result in more high rarity items from your chests.
- Cursed Tome: More enemies → more XP orbs → greater benefit from XP multipliers.
- Cooldown Tome / Damage Tome / Precision Tome / Quantity Tome: Killing enemies faster allows you to gather XP faster.
- Agility Tome: Mobility helps sweep orbs quickly and maintain tempo between packs.
- Attraction Tome: Larger pickup range gathers scattered XP orbs efficiently, maximizing returns from XP scaling. This combo will allow you to reach high levels quickly, but using two of your tome slots solely to level faster will result in a notably weaker build compared to others at high levels.
- Golden Tome: Economy-focused paths often align with XP-driven snowball strategies. This may be more worth it in high level runs compared to the Attraction Tome as it will allow you to open more chests in total. This combo is also better on Robinette than any other character due to her gaining damage based off of money held.
Strategy Tips
- Invest early: the sooner XP scaling starts, the more total level-ups you gain over a run.
- Don’t over-invest at the cost of survivability, balance with damage or defensive Tomes if pressure is high. You gain 100% more XP when you're not dead.
- In boss fights, rely on prior XP advantage (extra upgrades) rather than expecting new XP bursts.
