Amog is an unlockable character in Megabonk. It is unlocked by poisoning 50,000 enemies with Moldy Cheese. Amog starts with the Poison Flask, making him ideal for damage-over-time strategies.

How to Unlock

  • Use Moldy Cheese to poison enemies.
  • Accumulate a total of '50,000 poisoned enemies.
  • Unlock Amog from the Main Menu → Unlocks tab.

Traits

  • Default weapon: Poison Flask
  • Plague: Poisoned enemies explode on death, adding all stacks of Poison to enemies hit.
  • Role: Crowd Control

Strategy Tips

  • Amog excels at killing large groups of enemies thanks to their passive causing all Poison (including Poison applied by Moldy Cheese) to spread to other nearby enemies upon any poisoned enemy dying. The radius of this poison spread scales with your Size stat making it quite useful for Amog. Duration is also useful to make your poison last longer, dealing more total damage and spreading more stacks of poison to enemies upon death.
  • Poison scales off of your Damage multiplier, but it does not scale off of Crits in any way which significantly reduces the value of the Precision Tome on this character. It is strongly advised to take the Damage Tome instead.
  • The Black Hole and Frostwalker weapons synergize well with Amog as they scale very well with Size & Duration and can slow or hold enemies in place while Poison damages them. Flamewalker also scales well with Size & Duration while playing perfectly into a strategy of kiting enemies while waiting for your Poison to finish them off.
  • Lightning Orb and Ice Cube can hold enemies in place for a short time giving your Poison more time to finish them off.

Trivia

  • Amog is very likely a shortened version of the popular Amogus meme, which would fit to a degree as his hazmat suit bears some resemblance to the Crewmates' suits from Innersloth's game Among Us.
  • Amog's appearance is also incredibly similar to popular horror game The Backroom's employee hazmat suits, which people have identified as a Level A / B suit with what appears to be an M17 gas mask.
