The Poison Flask is an unlockable weapon in Megabonk. It throws a bottle of poison at the enemy, dealing damage and inflicting Poison on enemies in an area. The duration of the poison effect stacks increases with each poison attack.

Unlocked by killing the Scorpionussy Miniboss on Desert 3 times.

Strategy and Synergies

• Any Duration bonuses: Some duration can help maintain stacks on bosses & high HP enemies if you can't maintain fire on them.
• Tomes:
  • Size Tome - Increases the size of the explosion, hitting and poisoning more enemies.
  • Quantity Tome - Increases the amount of flasks thrown per attack cycle. These attacks are in succession, not all at once.
  • Cooldown Tome - Increases attack speed, allowing more poison stacks.
• Projectile Speed bonuses: can be useful due to the flask travel speed being very slow.

• Crit Chance/Crit Damage bonuses: Poison cannot crit so this is an anti-synergy.
• Damage bonuses: While the flask impact scales with damage, it's very poor and the poison does not, so this is an anti-synergy.

Due to this weapon relying on slow build-up and constant pressure, this weapon is exceptionally bad for scoring kills and keeping you alive during the Final Swarm. It should be avoided if you are attempting high score runs.

Best Character:
- Amog starts with this weapon and their passive makes Poisoned enemies explode on death which then spreads all their poison to nearby enemies. This passive makes this weapon reasonably good on Amog, but as no other characters have this passive, consider leaving this weapon disabled with Toggler. Weapons with high hit rates (Revolver, Tornado, Black Hole) combined with Moldy Cheese and Moldy Gloves are much better poison applicators for other characters, and even for Amog for single-target.
