The Wireless Dagger is an unlockable weapon in Megabonk. It functions as a "smart" weapon, automatically throwing daggers that seek out nearby enemies, allowing the player to concentrate on movement and dodging.
This weapon is a key progression item, as it is required to unlock the speedy character Tony McZoom.
How to Unlock
To unlock the Wireless Dagger, players must take the Lightning Staff during a run and upgrade it to Level 15.
The Lightning Staff is a starter weapon, making this challenge accessible early in the game. The most straightforward strategy is to begin a run, select the Lightning Staff, and prioritize its upgrades above all others. After the condition is met, the Wireless Dagger must be purchased from the Unlocks tab for 2 Silver.
Strategy and Synergies
The Wireless Dagger's greatest asset is its auto-targeting system, which frees up the player from aiming. It excels in chaotic fights with many fast-moving enemies.
- Bounce and Multiply: The weapon's true power is unleashed by maximizing the Projectile Bounces and Projectile Count upgrades. This can create a chain reaction of daggers clearing the entire screen.
- Key Synergies:
- Quantity Tome: A top-tier synergy. More daggers mean more targets hit, and more bounces create an unstoppable storm of blades.
- Tony McZoom (Character): As the character unlocked by this weapon, Tony's high-speed playstyle is a perfect match. Tony can focus entirely on zipping around the map while the daggers automatically handle combat.
- Movement Speed: Any item or tome that boosts movement speed complements the dagger's "fire-and-forget" nature, turning you into a hard-to-hit whirlwind of damage.
Upgrades
The Wireless Dagger benefits from a wide range of offensive upgrades:
- Damage
- Duration
- Projectile Count
- Projectile Bounces
- Projectile Speed
