Weapons
Early game might be insufferable, mainly with axe being a very bad starter weapon. Focus in breaking pots and charging shrines, as you may add amount or HP regen. Lifesteal might not be the best option to pick yet, since there's no DPS. Picking Black Hole might open the option for lifesteal, but do not get too cocky. Your objective is to get your luck stat above 80%, while also upgrading your weapons, mainly projectile amount's upgrade. Midgame is just making an effort of getting the max of XP you can get. Microwave the Keys so you can pick chests without getting broke financially. Lategame (Boss or +5 minutes Last Swarm) you start to struggle from lack of DPS if you don't have enough attack speed.
Tips: Positioning is the key for earlygame. Axe doesn't damage flying enemies if they are a little bit higher if the Axe does not have Size enough (although it's VERY inconstant, might be fixed). Black Hole is the support weapon in the build. Does reposition the enemies, and the tick damage has a synergy with the durability buff from shrines. Feathers easy your life to explore the map, making it easier to access some part of the map and avoiding some enemies.
Dice might be an option if you dislike the shotgun mechanic, but be aware that it doesn't scale that well with Ogre (unless late game, but too much risk for a character with a pretty weak early)
