The Sword is one of the primary starter weapons available at the beginning of Megabonk. As a reliable and easy-to-use melee weapon, it is the default choice for the character Sir Oofie.
The Sword is not only a solid weapon for early runs but also a crucial tool for progression, as it is required to unlock two other powerful weapons.
Strategy and Synergies
The Sword is a straightforward weapon that excels at clearing enemies directly in front of the player. Its wide, sweeping arc can hit multiple targets at once.
- Upgrade Path: The most effective upgrades for the Sword are Damage (more damage is always good), Projectile Count (to add more slashes per attack), and Size (to increase the width of its slash arc). Knockback is also valuable as a defensive upgrade pushing enemies away to create breathing room, but it will not result in hitting more enemies or killing them faster.
